In 1993, four years after its original release, Darius II was ported to the PC-Engine CD, as was its predecessor. It also received several new bosses, but not a new boss for every stage. This game, however, suffered a bit from slowdown, though how good or bad it is is beyond me to answer. You also got the chance to play as Proco or Tiat (woo hoo), and dificulty could be tweaked. So, if you played on easy, your weapon would not be reset to zero the minute you die. It also has the most rockin' music in a Darius game. Love that rendition of level I's music! The huge bosses were now 'Approached fast', not just 'Approaching fast'. Ouch. Anyway, on to the bosses:
