Super Darius II(1993)
Relatives: Dark Coronatus, Vermilion Coronatus, Lightning Coronatus
Zone W...a nice crystalline cave (where's Mylo Steamwitz?) and not very fun. In the PC-Engine games, the lack of space makes it even less fun. I really suffered in this stage, believe me. The boss is no better.
We're the low-rent Coronati, and we aim to impress.
Tips: Segmented body and helmeted head. You can expect much meanness here. The head fires copious amounts of anchor thingies , and at the same time, his four body segments fire aimed two-bullet arcs. You can get some gracious bullet-arc patterns here, actually. If you try and move far down enough to avoid them, the (destructible) tail fires straight lasers at you. You may cry, but it is a final boss, isn't it? Of course, to make things tougher, Verdant Coronatus needs to lose his helmet before you can do damage to him. Expect many rotating cubes, but hopefully, you will have your wave shot by now.
