The Dariuses brought out on the PC-Engine family had a few quite originals; not bad for an aracade port; but given the recycling or appearance of close relatives of old Darius bosses, Burst Out was rather unlucky. But hold on.'Burst Out'? This guy seriously sounds like a Jethro Tull album. Perhaps I should compile a list of just plain bizzare Darius boss names.
Burst Out attacks One and Two.
Tips: Like most of the spiritual offspring of the original Darius, Burst Out has one or two attack patterns and makes for a rapid and not-really-intense battle. His only weak spot is his forehead. he makes up for this by making it a two-layer weak spot; you have to blow up the outer skin and get at his innards, even though it's not as exciting as it sounds. He has two attacks : a laser beam from his mouth, which he fires a few times before using his seven-bullet arc which can hit you quite fast if you are hoering too close to his forehead. After enough damage the outer skin of his forehead (bow?) is broken apart, but it still is the only weak spot he possesses. Keep at it (taking care about the bullet arcs) and he will soon be history.
